Commonly known as the COVID-19 is a group of viruses that causes Serve Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)  and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), common cold and fever.

In 2019 a new coronavirus was identified which outbreak in China and spread throughout the world causing the death of many people.

In march 2020 WHO ( World Health Organization) declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. The virus is known as SARS COVID-2( Serve Acute Respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2).

 

Symptoms of Covid-19 / Coronavirus

The time after the exposure of Coronavirus and before the symptoms appear is known as the incubation period. The signs and symptoms of COVID-19 may appear after 7 to 14 days of infection.

Most Common Symptoms

It includes:

Tiredness

High Fever

Dry cough

Loss of Taste and Smell

 

Others symptoms

It includes:

Aches and Pain

Headache

Diarrhoea

Sore throat

Rashes on the skin

Runny nose

Chest pain

conjunctivitis  (Pink Eye)

 

Serious Symptoms of Corona Virus

It includes:

Chest pain

Loss of smell and taste

Shortness of breath

Loss of speech or Movement

 

OTE: Seek immediate medical if any of the symptoms are seen.

When to see the Doctor

If any of the above symptoms are seen then immediately consult your doctor or visit the nearby hospital or clinic and get advice.

If serious symptoms of COVID-19 are seen then immediately consult the medical personal otherwise it will be too late.

 

Causes of Corona Virus

Corona Virus disease is a contagious disease that is caused by Serve Acute Respiratory  Syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus ( COVIS-19) spread easily between the people who are in close contact between 2 m.

The virus usually spreads by respiratory droplets that are released when someone with the virus coughs, sneezes, breathes or talks. These droplets can be inhaled or land in the mouth, nose or eyes of a person nearby.

The coronavirus can spread by a person being exposed to small droplets or aerosols that stay in the air for several minutes or hours which is also called airborne transmission.

The coronavirus can also spread if a person touches a surface or object with the virus on it and then touches his or her mouth, nose or eyes, but the risk of infection is low.

 

Complications of Corona Virus

Complication includes:

Trouble in breathing and Pneumonia

Heart problems

The serve problem/lung condition that causes the low oxygen concentration to go into the bloodstream

Blood clots due to the lack of oxygen in the body

Kidney injury

Liver cirrhosis

Organ failure

 

Prevention

There is no cure for the infection caused due to the corona virus. Some vaccines are under treatment.

  1. Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds at a time with warm water and soap.
  2. Wear a mask while walking or sitting in public places
  3. Don’t go out if you’re feeling sick or have any cold
  4. Stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) away from people. Avoid crowds and large gatherings.
  5. Cover your mouth with a tissue or the inside of your elbow whenever you sneeze or cough. Throw away any tissues you use right away.
